Sonny Bill Williams Edging out Ma'a Nonu for All Blacks?

Last year Sonny Bill Williams was unable to shake off Ma'a Nonu from the starting 15 during the Rugby World Cup Tournament. Now, Williams might have surpassed Nonu as a starting centre for the Irish Rugby Tour of New Zealand in June.

Both Ma'a Nonu and Sonny Bill Williams have contracts with the NZRU that will end later this year, but with media reports of Williams' agent getting offers from South Africa and Japan, and meetings with NRL officials in Australia, Steve Hansen's comments on Williams seem to be correlated with the NZRU's desire to keep Williams due to his star power. In addition, Williams' performance with the Chiefs has been impressive and contributed greatly to the team's success this season, whereas Nonu has struggled with the Blues' recent downturn through successive losses and injuries crippling their on-field impact.
