Sonny Bill Williams Could Have Saved the All Blacks from Defeat

So the All Blacks lost to England this past weekend. The British media is in celebration as the drought riddled with losses to New Zealand came to an end with England beating the All Blacks 38 to 21. While the loss is not the end of the world for the All Blacks, there is one factor that can't be ignored: the loss of Sonny Bill Williams.

It is premature to suggest that Williams could have 'saved' his former Kiwi team from England's wrath, but after his contribution to the Chiefs this year and his then-growing presence in the black uniform, one can only imagine what Williams might have done in response to the English side. It's a head scratch for All Blacks fans pondering their side's surprise fall.

Ma'a Nonu and Conrad Smith's experience were not enough to stop the monstrous stampede of Manu Tuilagi, England's most destructive offensive player in that side's still developing arsenal. Had Williams came off the bench, or started, the All Blacks probably would have at least kept the match close, but....Sonny Bill Williams is training with Quade Cooper for their boxing bouts, not to mention preparing for his NRL return.

Sonny Bill Williams is hopefully enjoying his time in Oz...
